I mean, come on- ‘Them Bones’, ‘Rain When I Die’, ‘Down in a Hole’, ‘Would’ – there’s not a whole lot else to say about Dirt other than the obvious- the album’s a banger from start to finish, and Layne Staley is one of the best hard rock singers to ever do it, period. It’s a bit hard to fathom, but somehow, September will mark 30 years since Alice In Chains dropped their second studio album and bona fide classic, Dirt.
